Hey there! I’m Katie Newland, and welcome to Paw Delight Designs.
You can think of me as the genuinely caring friend who’s always excited to make your day a little brighter. I’m a self-taught artist from Milton Keynes, and I’ve spent years exploring every corner of creativity — sketching, painting, and spinning stories straight from my imagination.
I started Paw Delight Designs because i wanted to share that joy with the world. What began as handmade cards for family and a revived high school cushion design turned into a full-blown passion: creating art and crafts that aren’t just beautiful, but made with heart. Every piece is crafted with care and a little bit of soul, because i believe creativity is best when it connects people.
But my dream goes further than just making lovely things. I want my work to give back — to support charities and causes that matter while still allowing me to live a life i love doing what i do best. Quality, care, and compassion aren’t just words here; they’re the heartbeat of everything i create.

Meet Astra, the star of Paw Delight Designs
Astra is more than a mascot — she’s the tuxedo cat who stole my heart as a child and still inspires everything i create. Born right in the house i grew up in, she was a tiny bundle of curiosity and mischief, and the most loyal companion a girl could dream of.
Though i lost heer in 2013, I wanted Astra to continue shining in my life — so I made her the heart and soul of Paw Delight Designs. Her name means “Star” and she’s just that. A little guiding light, reminding me to create with love, care and joy.
Whether she’s peeking from a corner of a design or staring in your imagination, Astra brings a sprinkle of magic, loyalty and warmth to every piece i make.

Creativity
Creativity is my superpower (well, besides making a mean cup of coffee). It’s more than drawing, painting, or writing—it’s about thinking outside the box, sideways, and sometimes upside-down. It helps me see the world in new ways, find fresh solutions, and—bonus—understand people a little better along the way. Every design, story, or little craft is a chance to stretch imagination and sprinkle a bit of magic into your day.
Integrity
Integrity is my “no funny business” policy. It’s about being honest, owning mistakes, keeping promises, and treating everyone with respect—because kindness never goes out of style. It also means I put my heart and effort into everything I do, even when no one’s looking (or when I’m sneaking an extra chocolate biscuit while working).
Quality
Quality is my pinky swear to you. Every product, service, or little thing I create is crafted with care, attention, and a stubborn refusal to settle for “meh.” I’m always learning, improving, and making sure what lands in your hands is something I’d be proud to give to my own family—or keep for myself (but don’t worry, I’ll resist).
